Details
Unlike the conventional two piece puzzles which convey this concept to children, this offering is rendered playfully using the popular train illustrations as a prop. In the early stages the child will put together and connect puzzle pieces to make colourful trains and carriages.
Later it learns early concepts of the opposites by putting them into 5 different coloured trains complete with engine, eight carriages and the guard's wagon.
Each carriage houses a pair of jigsaw pieces which depict the opposites in pictures along with the spellings
The engines are thematic and so each opposite train houses them accordingly – The opposites have been given the attributes - I act, I place, I look, I am and It is.
During play, the child learns the 40 pairs of opposites in a sorted approach and so understanding the meaning and the contrasting attribute.
The carriages, engine and guard's van have a common connecting jig and the child can make different trains of varying length and new themes.
The understanding of the important concept is driven home by playing a game wherein the opposite pairs are separated and placed face down and children have to use memory skills to pick the correct pair of opposites.
