Easter is celebrated worldwide by Christians as a festival celebrating rejuvenation of life and living.
Good Friday is when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross; Easter is when he rose again.

The period of Lent is a period of 40 days that precedes the celebration of Easter which is spent in prayers, fasting and alms giving.

Also in the olden days, one had to give many tests and trials before one became Christian, so the period of Lent was a period of prayer and purification and devotees were baptized or converted into Christians on Easter.
Today one abstains from bad habits and gets closer to religion during these days. It helps one reconnect with the inner self and one learns to live selflessly and gratefully.
Easter is celebrated with cute l
ittle chocolate eggs, small chicks made of cotton wool and sweets made of sugared almonds – all symbolizing new life. Prayer and services are held in all churches.
Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies are most loved by children.
