The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. An on-going process, STEM concepts are being imbibed in school curriculums, science camps and various play options in the United States and now world over. The reason for this is that reports show that only 30 percent of children passing out from school are ready for college-level work in science and in the years to come, there will be a greater demand for STEM related careers. This is why it is important to foster an interest and aptitude in these subjects when children are still in elementary school.
